SEGi University welcomed students from Ansan, South Korea, for the four-week Ansan Mobility Programme, held from 12 January to 6 February 2026. The programme provided participants with a comprehensive English language learning experience while introducing them to Malaysian culture, society and industry through a combination of classroom instruction and practical activities.
Throughout the programme, students attended English language classes focusing on the four core language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Lessons were designed to strengthen their communication abilities through interactive classroom activities, presentations, discussions, role-playing exercises and collaborative learning tasks. The programme also incorporated practical sessions and experiential learning activities, enabling students to apply their English language skills in authentic situations. These activities encouraged participants to communicate more confidently while developing their ability to use English in everyday and professional contexts.
Beyond the classroom, students took part in a variety of educational visits, practical programmes and cultural activities that offered valuable insights into Malaysian society, traditions and industries. These experiences provided meaningful opportunities for them to interact with local communities, explore real-world environments and practise English in a natural setting. The students demonstrated excellent participation throughout the programme by actively contributing to classroom discussions, completing assigned tasks and engaging positively in group activities. Over the four weeks, noticeable improvements were observed in their English proficiency, communication skills and confidence. Participants also embraced the opportunity to experience Malaysia’s multicultural environment and developed meaningful friendships with their peers. The combination of academic learning, cultural immersion and social interaction contributed to a well-rounded and memorable international experience.
At the conclusion of the programme, the students shared positive feedback about their learning experience at SEGi University. Their reflections and suggestions will be considered in the planning and delivery of future programmes to further enhance the quality of international learning experiences offered by the University.
