SEGi University reinforced its commitment to globally connected education and meaningful international learning by hosting the GIP @ SEGi – Global Presentation Series 2026 on 11 March 2026. The event welcomed 125 students and four faculty members from Karpagam College of Engineering (KCE), India. Organised under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions, the programme formed part of the students’ international mobility visit to Kuala Lumpur from 8 to 20 March 2026. It reflected both institutions’ shared vision of nurturing globally competent graduates through academic collaboration and cross-cultural engagement.
The Global Presentation Series was designed to provide students with international academic exposure while strengthening their communication, presentation and critical-thinking skills. Throughout the programme, participants took part in presentation sessions held across several venues at SEGi University, where they shared innovative ideas before panels of SEGi academic evaluators. The initiative created a dynamic learning environment that encouraged knowledge exchange, collaboration and greater confidence in presenting to an international audience.

A key highlight of the event was the students’ presentations on Artificial Intelligence (AI), which demonstrated their understanding of one of today’s most transformative technologies. Covering a range of AI applications across industries, the presentations explored how intelligent technologies are reshaping business, education, healthcare and everyday life. The students demonstrated strong analytical thinking, creativity and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, reflecting the growing importance of AI literacy in preparing graduates for the future workforce.
The presentations also encouraged participants to think critically about technological innovation, ethical considerations and the role of AI in addressing real-world challenges. Beyond technical knowledge, the experience strengthened essential employability skills, including teamwork, public speaking, problem-solving and professional communication. These competencies are increasingly valued in today’s global workplace.

The delegation was led by Dr C. Meera, Director, Head of Department and Professor at the School of Management Studies, Karpagam College of Engineering, who accompanied the students throughout the programme. SEGi University’s academic staff served as jury members, evaluating each presentation based on innovation, quality of content, presentation delivery and communication effectiveness. The visiting students impressed the panel with their preparation, confidence and depth of knowledge, reflecting the high academic standards fostered through the collaboration between the two institutions.
The success of the GIP @ SEGi – Global Presentation Series 2026 reflects the strength of the partnership between SEGi University and Karpagam College of Engineering in advancing internationalisation and academic excellence. By bringing together students and academics from different countries, the programme fostered meaningful cultural exchange while encouraging participants to broaden their global perspectives and develop lasting professional connections.
As SEGi University continues to strengthen its international partnerships, initiatives such as the Global Presentation Series exemplify the University’s commitment to delivering transformative educational experiences that prepare graduates to excel in an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven world. Through collaborative learning, international exposure and discussions on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, SEGi continues to empower students to become innovative thinkers, confident communicators and future-ready leaders capable of making meaningful contributions to society.
This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
