Farhana is one of the Early Childhood lecturer at SEGI University. Her career in this field started after she obtained her Diploma in Human Development from UPM as a kindergarten teacher. The keen interest in children brought her to UPSI when she furthered to Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education), minoring in Special Needs Education. Again, she became a kindergarten teacher with a degree certification. Knowing that she could do more, she challenged herself by getting her Ms. Sc. (Human Development) from UPM with a research on children’s eating behaviour. The career in tertiary level began at Kolej Pendidikan Awal Kanak-Kanak (KPAKK) while completing her master and continue to UNITAR International University. Apart from more than 10 years tertiary teaching experience, she also involved in various research and consultation works. The main highlight is the research grant from the Welfare Department (JKM) on the quality of TASKA in Malaysia. She also presented her research at the local department and university. She wrote an article in Pa & Ma magazine, become a panel on parenting segment for Assalamu’alaikum (TV Al-Hijrah) and a speaker of parental talk at a child care centre. She also involved with the community as a curriculum consultant for TASKA Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) under Ministry of Defence (MINDEF).
