世纪大学孔子学院由（前）汉办、中国海南师范大学和马来西亚世纪大学合办，于2015年11月揭牌，是全球548所孔子学院之一。

世纪大学孔子学院旨在增进马来西亚人民对中国语言文化的了解，加强中马教育文化交流合作。我院为此开展丰富多彩的教学和文化活动，逐步形成了具有自身特色的办学模式，成为当地人民学习中国语言文化、了解当代中国的重要平台。

The Confucius Institute at SEGi University was jointly established by the former Chinese Hanban/ Confucius Institute Headquarters, Hainan Normal University of China and SEGi University of Malaysia in November 2015. It was the second Confucius Institute established in Malaysia, and one of the 548 Confucius Institutes around the world.

The Confucius Institute at SEGi University aims to promote the understanding of the Chinese language and culture among Malaysians and strengthen the educational and cultural exchanges between China and Malaysia.

The Institute carries out a variety of language teaching and Chinese cultural activities to the local community, including University staff and students, schools, business and industry, as well as community organisations and individuals.

中国国际中文教育基金会是获得中华人民共和国民政部注册承认的慈善组织，并于2020年6月在北京成立。该基金会由27所高校、企业和社会组织联合发起，以通过支持全球各地中文教育项目、促进人文交流、增进国际理解，为推动世界多元文明交流互鉴、共同构建人类命运共同体贡献力量。

Founded in Beijing in June 2020, the Chinese International Education Foundation (CIEF) is a non-profit charity organisation registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

Jointly initiated by 27 universities, enterprises, and social organisations, the Foundation is dedicated to support worldwide projects related to Chinese education, promote cultural exchanges and global understanding, and contribute to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

The Confucius Institute is supported by a new support and governance structure that comprises the Chinese International Education Foundation and the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation.

中外语言交流合作中心（简称“语言合作中心”；英文名称Centre for Language Education and Cooperation，简称CLEC），隶属于中国教育部，是发展国际中文教育事业的专业公益教育机构，致力于为世界各国民众学习中文、了解中国提供优质的服务，为中外语言交流合作、世界多元文化互学互鉴搭建友好协作的平台。

语言合作中心的主要职能是：为发展国际中文教育与促进中外语言交流合作提供服务，统筹建设国际中文教育资源体系，参与制定国际中文教育相关标准并组织实施；支持国际中文教师、教材、学科等建设和学术研究；组织实施国际中文教师考试、外国人中文水平系列考试，开展相关评估认定；运行汉语桥、新汉学、奖学金等国际中文教育相关品牌项目；组织开展中外语言交流合作等。

The Centre for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), affiliated with the China’s Ministry of Education, is a non-profit educational institution that promotes global Chinese education.

Its main functions are developing the National Chinese Language Proficiency standards across the world and hosting certification tests; supporting the provision of teaching resources; operating international Chinese language education programmes such as the “Chinese Bridge” series and China Studies Programme; and organising relevant activities of international exchanges and cooperation.

海南师范大学成立于1949年秋，是一所在中国综合实力较强的省级重点大学，也是卓越师资的培养基地。海南师范大学积极拓展学术交流与合作。迄今为止，已与国外的73所大学和教育机构建立了友好关系，并与10所大学合作开展学生互换、学分互认项目合作。2015年，该大学与世纪大学合作成立孔子学院，提供汉语普通话和文化课程，服务当地社区。

Hainan Normal University is our partner university in this collaboration. Founded in the autumn of 1949, it is a key provincial university with a long history that plays the role of a distinctive educator training institution.

The university has actively expanded its academic exchange and cooperation efforts. To date, it has established friendly relations with 73 universities and educational institutions abroad and has collaborated with 10 universities in student exchange and credit transfer programmes.

In 2015, the university supported SEGi University’s effort to set up a Confucius Institute, which was purposed for offering Mandarin and Cultural courses for the benefit of local communities.
