SEGi’s Fakhruddin Shines at Hyderabad Optometry Programme

Fakhruddin Shamsheer Barodawala, a lecturer at SEGi University’s Faculty of Optometry and Vision Sciences, recently showcased SEGi’s commitment to quality education and global partnerships. He was invited by the prestigious L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India, to participate in the 60th Indian Contact Lens Education Programme (ICLEP) from 12 to 14 July 2024. This notable event drew over 150 participants, including students and practitioners from various regions, underscoring SEGi’s influence and reach in the field of optometry.

During the three-day programme, Fakhruddin delivered two compelling presentations and co-facilitated two workshops. These sessions provided invaluable insights and practical skills to attendees, reflecting SEGi’s dedication to fostering excellence in optometry education. The event, supported by Bausch + Lomb, highlighted the critical role of continuous professional development in ensuring the highest standards of eye care.

This engagement aligns seamlessly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals).
