SEGi University’s Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology recently hosted a strategic meeting with representatives from the University of Newcastle to explore potential partnerships in their Architecture and Quantity Surveying programmes. The meeting, held on 7 November 2024, brought together key figures from both institutions. SEGi University was represented by Ir. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Yong Chai (Dean of Faculty), Sr Ts. Eunice Chia Mei Ling (Programme Leader, Quantity Surveying), Prof. Prof. Ramli Bin Abdullah (Architecture), Qaiyim Nabil Bin Ahmad Azuan (Programme Leader, Architecture), and Ts. Dr King Yeong Jin (Deputy Dean for Academic). The University of Newcastle was represented by Professor Dr. Thayaparan Gajendran (Head of School of Architecture and Built Environment), Associate Professor Sam Spurr, and Dr Jessica Siva.
Discussions centred on establishing collaborative pathways for student exchange, articulation into master’s programmes, and joint research initiatives. Key outcomes included:
