In the dynamic realm of pharmacy, where innovation and knowledge converge, SEGi University’s pharmacy alumni, Yuhashinee K.Kumaradev and Lim Shin Yi, stood out as luminaries at the prestigious Penang Pharmacists Convention held at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre from 23 – 24 Sept 2023. Under the guiding light of Tan Kien Sin, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy, these exceptional researchers showcased their remarkable contributions, bringing laurels not just to themselves but also to SEGi University.
The convention, a collaborative effort between the Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS Penang Area Committee), Young Pharmacists’ Chapter (YPC Penang Area Committee), and Malaysian Community Pharmacy Guild (MCPG Northern Branch), is the largest gathering of pharmacists in the Northern region of Malaysia. With the theme “Advancements in Pharmacy Practice”, the event provided a vital platform for disseminating knowledge and fostering innovative ideas.
Yuhashinee K.Kumaradev and Lim Shin Yi, both proud alumni of SEGi University, presented their groundbreaking research projects under the category of Pharmacy Practice. Their project, titled “Evaluating Pharmacists’ Responses Towards Enquiries on Symptoms of Drug-induced Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: A Simulated Client Telephone Call Study”, garnered significant attention and accolades.
