In a vibrant collaboration with Sri KDU Klang, SEGi University showcased its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through an engaging School Outreach Programme.
Led by the dynamic Nurul Nabihah Abdul Jalil, 13 impassioned TESL students embarked on a journey to promote inclusive quality education and lifelong learning on the 25 April 2024.
The heart of the event lay in fostering a love for reading among primary pupils, aligning seamlessly with SDG 4. Through interactive storytelling sessions, students delved into imaginative narratives, igniting a passion for literature within young minds. With each tale, they entertained and imparted valuable lessons, echoing the ethos of sustainable development.
Beyond mere storytelling, the programme was a platform for innovation and adaptability. TESL students adeptly tailored their narratives to suit the pupils’ diverse needs and engagement levels. This bespoke approach captivated the audience and underscored the importance of personalised education in achieving SDG targets.
The event’s resounding success resonated in the enthusiastic response from students and educators alike. Witnessing the transformative power of storytelling in nurturing creativity and imagination, participants embraced the opportunity to be catalysts for change in their communities.
This collaborative endeavour with Sri KDU Klang epitomises SEGi University’s unwavering commitment to advancing the SDGs. By harnessing the transformative power of education, SEGi continues to empower future generations and lay the foundation for a sustainable and inclusive society.
