Bridging Theory with Playful Learning

SEGi University, in collaboration with Busy Bees preschool, hosted a transformative event themed “Play and Learn” on 18 April, 2024, at Audi A, SEGi University.

This innovative approach aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), by promoting inclusive and engaging educational practices.

The concept of “Play and Learn” highlights the importance of integrating playfulness into teaching methods to create dynamic and enjoyable learning experiences. This approach not only benefits students but also empowers educators to rediscover their passion for teaching, enhance creativity, and strengthen connections with students on a profound level.

By bridging theory with practice through playful techniques, educators can revitalise classrooms and make learning more impactful and memorable.

The event featured insightful speakers from Busy Bees, including Julia Teo, Arjuna Raj, and Charlotte Hutchings, who shared expertise in talent acquisition, corporate communications, and people development.

Their contributions emphasised the significance of continuous professional development, innovative teaching strategies, and the transformative power of playful learning methods in fostering a positive educational environment. By embracing the “Play and Learn philosophy,” educators embark on a journey of growth, evolution, and positive change within the education community.
