SEGi University is setting a new standard in financial education with the launch of MoneyDash, a visionary project aimed at enhancing financial literacy among youth. Aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), this initiative breaks down the complexities of finance and accounting, using engaging, immersive learning methods to ensure young people gain critical financial skills for the future.
Led by SEGi University’s Dr. Farah Raihana Haji Ismail talented team, which includes experts like Dr. Fariza, Dr. Razif, and Datin Dr. Norhanim Dewa, MoneyDash is a collaborative effort with esteemed institutions such as UiTM Puncak Alam, Veritas University College, Asia Pacific University, Multimedia University, and Nippon Designers School. The goal is to create a global learning environment that fosters innovation and inclusivity.
MoneyDash has already gained international recognition, receiving prestigious awards such as the International Special Award from the International Federation of Inventors Associations and a Gold Medal at the Asia Virtual Innovation Competition in 2024. These accolades highlight the global impact and potential of the project to transform how financial education is delivered.
The prototype development is well underway, and the project promises to reshape the way finance is taught and learned. According to a study by the OECD, financial literacy is essential for lifelong financial well-being. Projects like MoneyDash are crucial in ensuring that the younger generation is equipped with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions, ultimately contributing to more financially inclusive societies.
