On 26 March 2024, SEGi University’s Faculty of Education, Languages, Psychology, and Music (FOELPM) hosted the highly anticipated “Education Innovation and Technology Leadership” (SEITL) seminar at the Kota Damansara campus. Chaired by Professor Dr. Shameem Rafik Galea, the seminar aimed to empower educational leaders with the knowledge and skills to harness innovative technologies, while fostering collaboration and leadership in educational innovation.
The seminar attracted a stellar lineup of speakers, led by keynote speaker Professor Dr. Harshita Aini Haroon, Director of AKEPT, who shared her extensive experience in driving educational innovation. Participants were also treated to expert insights from Dr. Muhammad Helmi Norman of UKM and Associate Professor Dr. Wan Zuhainis Saad of UPM, both leaders in the field of education and technology.
Industry experts such as Dato Frieda Mohd Pilus from Cempaka Education Group and Alan Fung from Techworx Ventures added valuable perspectives, demonstrating how cutting-edge technology is shaping the future of education. Their contributions illustrated the practical applications of educational technologies that are transforming learning environments worldwide.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in dynamic discussions on emerging trends in educational technology and strategies for effective leadership. The interactive nature of the sessions allowed for rich exchanges of ideas, with attendees gaining actionable insights to implement innovative solutions within their own institutions.
