In a momentous occasion filled with anticipation and enthusiasm, SEGi University opens its doors to the new cohort of leaders entrusted with guiding our vibrant student community throughout the academic year 2023/2024.
The grand inauguration ceremony, held on 30 October 2023, witnessed the official swearing-in and oath-taking of Sean Eddry Effie Rizal, an outstanding student hailing from the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment & Information Technology (FoEBEIT), who now takes the helm as the esteemed President of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC). Sean Eddry steps into this distinguished role, succeeding the accomplished Tan Xue Jing from the Faculty of Education, Languages, Psychology & Music (FoELPM). Leading a diverse council comprising 16 exceptionally talented students from various faculties, Sean Eddry embarks on a transformative journey to elevate the SEGi student experience.
SEGi University’s SRC plays a pivotal role as the vital link between the student body and the Student Experience Office, assuming the multifaceted roles of advocates, catalysts for change, and invaluable sources of information. Beyond their representative responsibilities, the SRC offers a dynamic platform for students to express their thoughts, thus enhancing the overall student experience through a myriad of engaging events and facility improvements.
