SEGi University proudly celebrated remarkable success at the Engineering, Science, and Technology Exhibition 2024 Series 2 (ESTE’ 24 S2), held at MAHSA University on 8 August 2024. Seven final-year Information Technology and Computer Science students from the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology (FOEBEIT) showcased their groundbreaking projects, earning top honours and bringing prestige to SEGi University.
The event, which saw participation from leading institutions such as Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), provided a platform for students to present their innovative solutions to industry experts and academic professionals. SEGi University’s students stood out among the participants, receiving several esteemed awards.
Sean Eddry Bin Effie Rizal won the Best Project Award (Degree) and the Best Overall Project Award for his “Integrated Smart Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Mobile Application,” aligning with SDG 7 and 9, focusing on affordable and clean energy and innovation in infrastructure. Sharifah Jasmin Shahabudin earned the Gold Award for her study on the impact of web development on dyslexic students, aligning with SDG 4, 9, and 10, promoting inclusive education and reducing inequalities.
Other accolades included the Silver Award for Vimal A/L Indrakumar for his “VCIPHER – The Key to Your Digial Future”, Silver Award & Best Poster Award (Degree) for Sahyeeshnu A/L Batumalai’s “Smart Ward Automation System with IoT,” and the Most Innovative & Creative Project Award for Wang Huachen’s “AAAnimal – Digital Integrated System for Animal Center,” both of which reflect SEGi’s commitment to fostering technological innovation aligned with SDG 3, 9, and 10.
