Making a Visionary Difference with Free Eye Screenings
On March 12, SEGi University held an On-Site Eye Screening Project in collaboration with Ti-Ratana and Soroptimist International Damansara. Conducted at the Kota Damansara campus, this initiative offered free eye screenings to 104 residents of the Myanmar Refugee Community Learning Centre and Ti-Ratana. This project underscored SEGi’s commitment to inclusivity and health equality, coinciding with International Days of Happiness and Racial Discrimination.

Advancing Oral Health with Colgate Collaboration
In partnership with Colgate-Palmolive Sdn. Bhd., SEGi Dental Society launched an Oral Health Education Library. Running since November 10, this project provides the community with essential resources on oral hygiene and well-being, furthering SEGi’s commitment to accessible health education and preventive care.

Promoting Mental Health Advocacy in Schools
In an initiative aligned with SDG 3, SEGi’s psychology students led by Ms. Pavithra Muniandy conducted a Mental Health Workshop at SRI KDU International School. SEGi Clubs Deliver Free Health Checkups
The SEGi Dental Society and SEGi Optometry Club teamed up to provide free health checkups for the local community at Surau Al Firdaus in Gugusan Melati, Kota Damansara. With educational booths and on-site screenings, SEGi students and faculty members actively promoted oral and visual health awareness.

On May 7, SEGi’s Faculty of Optometry & Vision Sciences participated in a Rotary Club-organised health camp. The team, including 18 final-year students and two lecturers, provided eye examinations for 140 community members, strengthening SEGi’s commitment to community health and preventive care.
