A streak of success for SEGi University

SEGi extends our heartiest and mightiest congratulations to two of our students and staff from the Faculty of Pharmacy for their recent success in the 54th Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS) – National Pharmacists Convention (NPC). Ms Chong Sue Chin, Ms Wong Sze Ling, and Ms Sze Wei Thing have made us proud by clinching two of the convention’s prestigious awards. The annual convention was held virtually from 8 July to 11 July 2021 with the theme, Exploration, Inspiration & Transformation of Pharmacists.

Ms Chong Sue Chin, the Faculty’s alumna, was awarded the MPS-Duopharma Biotech Gold Medal Award 2020. This distinguished award was presented to the most deserving student of each university who excelled in both studies and extracurricular activities.

The success streak continued with the conferment of the MPS-NPC 2021 Outstanding Poster Award to Ms Wong Sze Ling, a final year undergraduate research student under the supervision of pharmacy lecturer, Ms Sze Wei Thing, with the poster titled, Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Malaysian Private Hospital Pharmacists on Medication Review. Their abstract was also accepted and will be published in the proceedings of NPC 2021 in the Malaysian Journal of Pharmacy June issue, Volume 7.
