On the 26 April 2024, a remarkable success story unfolded through the collaborative efforts of 988FM and the SEGi University Entrepreneurship and Business Club (SEBC). This dynamic partnership was designed to provide students with a firsthand glimpse into the world of a DJ, offering a gateway to explore exciting career prospects in the industry.
The highlight of this initiative was an audition where students and SEBC members showcased their talents and aspirations to pursue a career as a DJ. The primary goal was crystal clear: to bridge the academic-industry gap, empowering students to explore tangible career pathways.
Exceptional individuals who exhibited outstanding skills and enthusiasm during the audition process were presented with an exceptional opportunity – a one-year contract with 988FM, a renowned radio station.
The success of this venture is undeniably credited to the dedicated organisers, Jeff Yii Shun Jye, Nicholas, and Jeffery, Business Management (Digital Marketing) students in Year 2, Semester 3. Their unwavering commitment and forward-thinking approach paved the way for this collaboration, showcasing their entrepreneurial acumen and leadership prowess.
As the head club advisor, it fills me with immense pride to witness the proactive mindset and innovative spirit displayed by the students involved. Their drive for innovation not only enhances their personal growth but also sets a shining example for fellow SEGians, inspiring them to explore diverse career avenues with confidence.
