SEGi University recently hosted the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Dean’s List Award Ceremony for its Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BEE) programme. The event, held on 5th November 2024, brought together faculty and students to celebrate academic achievements and foster a spirit of collaboration.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by Dr Noraidah binti Mohd Shariff, followed by an address from Ts. Vinukumar Luckose, Programme Leader for the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Ts. Vinukumar provided an update on the BEE programme, highlighting its alignment with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles and the valuable contributions of the Industry Advisory Panel.
A key highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding students who had demonstrated exceptional academic performance during the May 2024 semester. Ten students received Dean’s List certificates and trophies, while Aishath Ibrahim, a Year 4 student, was honoured with the High Achiever Award.
To further enhance student engagement and teamwork, Dr Ayyappan Preethy organised a dynamic team-building activity. This interactive session challenged students to collaborate, communicate effectively, and exercise leadership skills, reinforcing the importance of working together towards common goals.
The AGM, Dean’s List Award Ceremony, and team-building activity collectively showcased SEGi University’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a competitive world.
