These Posters Didn’t Just Impress — They Inspired Change

Final-year students from SEGi University’s Faculty of Business, Accountancy, and Law took centre stage in a vibrant showcase of innovation and research excellence during the Ideographic Poster Presentation held on Level 9 of SEGi Tower. Organised by the Faculty’s Teaching and Learning Committee, the event celebrated the theme “Evolving Skills Through Ideography” and underscored SEGi’s continued commitment to cultivating industry-ready graduates who think critically and creatively.

Over 100 attendees, including academics, professionals, and guests from partner universities, explored a wide range of ideographic posters that transformed complex research into accessible, visually compelling insights. Eight students were honoured under two prestigious categories—Excellent Research Papers Winners 2025 and Best Ideographic Poster Presentation 2025—for work that reflected rigour, creativity, and real-world relevance in the domains of business, law, and accountancy.

The judging panel featured distinguished experts from renowned Malaysian universities and institutions, reinforcing the academic integrity and prestige of the event. From inclusive education advocates to business and marketing strategists, the panel brought multidimensional perspectives that elevated the learning and evaluation experience. Their involvement highlighted SEGi’s strong network of academic-industry partnerships, a key driver in enhancing graduate employability.

Events like this speak directly to global goals for inclusive and equitable quality education. According to UNESCO, developing research and innovation capacities within universities is crucial for nations striving toward sustainable economic growth and knowledge-based economies. By encouraging students to communicate research through ideography—an approach that blends creativity with clarity—SEGi is equipping future leaders with the tools to address real-world challenges, supporting lifelong learning as emphasised in SDG 4.

The presentation also championed diversity of thought and societal contribution, with projects addressing everything from ethical corporate governance to financial inclusivity. This reflects global trends showing that 85% of employers seek problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills in graduates, further positioning SEGi graduates at the forefront of workforce readiness.

As SEGi University continues to grow its impact across teaching, research, and community collaboration, events like these are vital in shaping confident, socially conscious innovators who are not only academically proficient but also driven by purpose. By merging academic excellence with creative communication, the Ideographic Poster Presentation is more than a competition—it’s a platform for transformation.
