SEGi University continues to champion global learning and cultural exchange through its latest international mobility initiative — the English Elevate Programme, which welcomed 38 students from FPT University, Vietnam, from 23 March to 22 April 2025.
This month-long programme is part of SEGi’s ongoing mission to create meaningful international partnerships and immersive learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom. For these Vietnamese students, it’s a unique opportunity to improve their English proficiency while experiencing Malaysia’s diverse culture, modern infrastructure, and inclusive academic environment.
Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by SEGi staff and student ambassadors, setting the tone for a journey filled with learning, collaboration, and cross-border friendships. An official orientation session was held to introduce students to campus life, academic expectations, and the exciting schedule ahead — including language classes, interactive workshops, cultural engagement, and curated local excursions.
“International mobility is not just about travel — it’s about transformation,” said a SEGi representative. “Through initiatives like English Elevate, we’re equipping students with not only language skills, but also global perspectives and intercultural understanding that are essential in today’s interconnected world.”
Throughout the first week, the FPT students eased into campus life, getting to know SEGi’s facilities, meeting local students, and adapting to the immersive English environment. The blend of academic and experiential learning is designed to support both their personal and academic growth — helping them build confidence in real-life English communication while gaining exposure to Malaysian education and culture.
This collaboration with FPT University also reflects SEGi’s expanding global reach and commitment to being a hub for international academic exchange. With more mobility programmes in the pipeline, SEGi continues to grow its international student community, fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning environment for all.
As the programme progresses, students will take part in various academic, cultural, and recreational activities — including visits to iconic Malaysian destinations, interactive language workshops, and student-led cultural exchange sessions.
