Indonesian Students Step into SEGi’s Global Classroom

SEGi University recently welcomed 19 students from Universitas Sumatra Utara (USU), Indonesia as part of its growing international mobility programme aimed at fostering cross-cultural learning and academic exchange.

Spanning several weeks, the programme brings together academic engagement and cultural immersion, giving participants the opportunity to experience Malaysian education and multiculturalism in a hands-on, memorable way. From English-language enrichment and professional workshops to cultural activities and sightseeing, the students are immersed in an environment that encourages both personal and academic growth.

The mobility initiative reflects SEGi’s commitment to creating a globally connected learning ecosystem. As international collaborations expand, SEGi continues to position itself as a dynamic hub for students seeking more than just conventional learning — offering real-world exposure, global perspectives, and lifelong friendships.

Upon arrival, the USU students were welcomed with an engaging orientation and introduced to the university’s vibrant campus life. Over the coming weeks, they will participate in a series of activities including language classes, student exchange sessions, and guided visits to key destinations such as Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, and Genting Highlands.

This programme not only provides valuable exposure for visiting students but also enriches the SEGi community through interaction, diversity, and shared experiences across borders. By connecting students from different backgrounds, SEGi continues to nurture a new generation of globally-minded individuals.

More stories will follow as we highlight their journey — from classroom moments to cultural exchange and city adventures. This is just the beginning of many more meaningful global experiences to come at SEGi.
