The Faculty of Pharmacy at SEGi University continues to create a supportive, engaging, and student centred learning experience through activities that make academic learning more interactive and meaningful.
The Medication Quiz Competition 2026, organised by the SEGi Pharmacy Students’ Association with guidance from Ms Rini Dinesh Sangarran, a pharmacology expert from the Faculty of Pharmacy, was held virtually on 6 May 2026 through the Wayground platform.
The competition brought together pharmacy students from different cohorts for an exciting academic challenge that tested their medication knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence in an enjoyable learning environment.
To promote collaborative learning, students were placed in mixed teams consisting of Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 students. This encouraged knowledge sharing, peer learning, and stronger connections across different cohorts within the SEGi Pharmacy PHARMILY.
Beyond the quiz itself, the event reflected the student friendly environment at the Faculty of Pharmacy, where approachable lecturers, supportive faculty members, and dedicated academic advisors continuously encourage students to grow personally, academically, and professionally.
The winning team comprised Ho Yu Jie from Year 3, Ng Shen Yee from Year 2, and Chong Kar Yee from Year 1. The team demonstrated outstanding collaboration, confidence, and strong pharmaceutical knowledge throughout the competition.

More than an academic activity, the Medication Quiz Competition highlighted the holistic university experience offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy. Students are encouraged not only to excel in their studies, but also to develop leadership, communication, problem solving skills, and meaningful friendships throughout their pharmacy journey.
At SEGi, learning goes beyond lectures and laboratories. Through interactive experiences such as this, students are empowered to build the skills, confidence, and professional mindset needed to become future ready healthcare professionals.
Through initiatives such as the Medication Quiz Competition 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy continues to provide a dynamic learning environment where students feel supported, engaged, and inspired.
