Chinese Cultural Society Spring Charity Gala Raises RM1795 for Lifeline Association Malaysia

The 13th SEGi University Chinese Cultural Society Spring Charity Gala was held on 10 March 2023, at the SEGi University MPH and Piazza, and it was a huge success. The Chinese Cultural Society organised the event, which included a funfair at the Piazza during the day, with food and accessories available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Professor Azrin Ariffin, Alice Wong (Club Advisor), Tan Yi Ting (Club President), and Tessa Chan officiated at the MPH’s Spring Charity Gala (Lifeline Association Malaysia). Members of the SEGi community and guests from all over Malaysia attended the event in large numbers.

The donation of RM1795 to the Lifeline Association Malaysia was the event’s high point. Tan Yi Ting presented the cheque to Tessa, who represented the association. The donation will help Lifeline Association Malaysia provide emotional support and crisis intervention services to those in need.

The purpose of the event was not only to make a donation, but also to celebrate Chinese culture. The SEGi students wowed the audience with a series of lively and dazzling performances. A diabolo show, 24 festive drums, and a Gu Zheng performance were all performed by SEGi’s talented students. Ti Bing Yen, a Mandarin pop singer and internet celebrity, also performed songs on stage, which were well received by the audience.

The 13th SEGi University Chinese Cultural Society Spring Charity Gala was a successful event that brought together SEGi community members and guests from across Malaysia. The donation to the Lifeline Association Malaysia demonstrated the SEGi community’s generosity and kindness. The performances highlighted the talents of SEGi students while also celebrating Chinese culture.
