What is EPF Withdrawal for Education?

EPF or Employees Provident Fund allows for the withdrawal of fund from Account II of EPF members to help with educational expenses. EPF also allows withdrawal not only for members of EPF but also for the spouses or children of members as well. The fund can be used to cover tuition fees or the outstanding loan amount, hostel and accommodation fees, as well as a one-way flight ticket for first-year students studying abroad.

Terms & Conditions?

Malaysian Citizen with sufficient funds in Account II; OR


A Malaysian Citizen who has made Leaving The Country Withdrawal before 1 August 1995 and later opted to re-contribute to the EPF; OR


A Non-Malaysian Citizen who:


Has become an EPF member before 1 August 1998; OR


Has obtained a Permanent Resident status (PR)


Has not reached the age of 55 on the date the application is received by EPF; AND - Having savings in EPF Account 2
