SEGi University and Ce-MEBSA Diponegoro University Team Up for Marine Sustainability and Aquaculture Innovation

SEGi University has officially partnered with the Centre of Marine Ecology and Biomonitoring for Sustainable Aquaculture (Ce-MEBSA) at Diponegoro University, Indonesia, through a groundbreaking MoU signed during the IFERP conference in Kuala Lumpur. This international collaboration is set to advance marine science research, postgraduate education, and sustainable aquaculture practices across Southeast Asia.

Under this MoU, students and researchers from both institutions will engage in joint marine ecology studies, sustainable food production strategies, and environmental monitoring—all anchored by the SEGi Graduate School of Business’s commitment to interdisciplinary and impactful research.

With marine ecosystems under increasing stress, this partnership reflects an urgent global call to action. The UN reports that over 30% of the world’s marine habitats are already degraded. This collaboration will help cultivate solutions-driven talent equipped to protect and innovate within this vital sector.
