Academic Support for Learning Disabilities

Support Plan
We can discuss and explore your requirements with you to create a Support Plan that supports your individual needs. Your Support Plan may include the ability to request coursework deadline extensions and alternative exam arrangements, such as rest breaks, extra time or use of a computer.

Study skills
Specialist study skills support may be available to you, including workshops and collaborative group or one-to-one study support sessions.

Services and networks
Services and facilities can be outlined which you may find helpful and ensure you are linked into relevant networks such as the Disability Liaison Officer and Support and Wellbeing Officer networks.

Funding
We can also advise you on how to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA) and discuss options with you for specialist study skills support through the DSA and/or the University’s Disabled Support Services team.
