SEGi PRESENTS ITS FIRST SEGi K-POP SOUNDWAVE FESTIVAL FEATURING K-ARTIST BAMBAM & HOMEGROWN TALENTS!
Petaling Jaya, 25 July 2024 – SEGi University & Colleges, one of Malaysia’s largest private higher education groups with a QS 5-Star Plus University rating, is set to host an exciting experience for a new generation of students—SEGi K-Pop Soundwave. This first-ever musical extravaganza, blending entertainment and education, will feature international and local musical acts, including K-Pop artist BamBam. The event will take place at the SEGi University Kota Damansara main campus on 24 August 2024.
With the latest batch of SPM & STPM students ready to take their next step into higher education, the SEGi K-Pop Soundwave is designed to celebrate their achievements alongside Diploma students and SEGi’s own student body. This fun-filled event offers a chance to unwind with carnival fun and exhilarating live performances.
The festival will feature two lively zones. The carnival area, open from noon onwards, will be filled with games and yummy food truck delights. This is a chance for everyone to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the campus and enjoy various activities, all the ingredients for an unforgettable day out.
The event’s main highlight will be its concert portion, where attendees and SEGi students can indulge in the beats of international and homegrown artists with iconic performances from K-Pop headliner BamBam, alongside fiery displays of talent by local stars such as Dolla, Blink, Nahsyk, and Saixse with Ezra Kairo.
According to Ms. Stella Lau, the Managing Director of University, Colleges, & K-12 of SEGi, “With over 47 years of excellence, we have moulded individuals into well-rounded and career-driven professionals. This year, we want to celebrate our youngest generation of learners in a special way.
“We often overlook the achievements of students before their tertiary education, and it’s time to change that. We’re here to say, ‘Well done, and take a well-deserved break!’ to everyone who has completed their secondary education and our very own hardworking student body. The SEGi K-POP Soundwave is the perfect place for them to relax after years of hard work. We at SEGi are incredibly excited to host this momentous day for them to mark their latest milestones in style.”
