SEGi Celebrates Academic Excellence at Foundation Awards Ceremony

SEGi University recently celebrated the outstanding achievements of its Foundation students at a glittering awards ceremony held in late November. The event recognised the dedication, perseverance, and academic prowess of the university’s high-achieving foundation scholars.

Taking centre stage were two exceptional students, Isobel Daniella Iking and Guan Chloe, who were named Valedictorians for their respective programmes, Foundation in Arts and Foundation in Science.

Isobel Daniella Iking: Embracing New Beginnings and Collaborative Learning

Isobel, who previously struggled academically, found a fresh start at SEGi. “Being in a new environment really motivated me,” she shared. “I used to fail a lot of subjects, but coming to SEGi gave me a clean slate.” She discovered a passion for marketing during her foundation year and is now considering pursuing a degree in business. Isobel also highlighted the importance of collaborative learning, a skill she honed during her time at SEGi. “It was a challenge at first,” she admitted, “but I learned to embrace teamwork, which is very different from my experience in high school.”

Guan Chloe: Inspired by Family and Driven by Passion

For Guan Chloe, family played a significant role in shaping her aspirations. With her sister as a role model, Chloe has set her sights on a career in dentistry. “My sister is very cool,” she said, “and I admire her dedication to helping others.” Chloe plans to continue her studies at SEGi, pursuing a degree in dentistry, inspired by a relative who is a dentist.

A Foundation for Success

The SEGi Foundation Awards ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also highlighted the university’s commitment to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for all its students. By fostering academic excellence and personal growth, SEGi equips its foundation students with the tools and skills they need to succeed in their chosen fields.

Congratulations to Isobel, Chloe, and all the graduates! SEGi University is proud to be a part of their academic journey and wishes them continued success in their future endeavours.
