The Faculty of Education, Language, Psychology and Music (FOELPM) at SEGi University recently held a colloquium showcasing the final year projects of its undergraduate students in a poster presentation format. The event was graced by esteemed guests including Datin Prof. Dr. Mariani binti Md Nor, Dean of FOELPM, Dr. E. Griffith, Associate Dean of the School of Psychology and Humanities from the University of North Lancashire and Prof. Srikumar, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of SEGi University. Their presence highlighted the importance of the final year project and the university’s commitment to supporting its students’ academic journey and research endeavours.
Adding a notable industry perspective to the event were representatives from WYNKIDS Preschool, a multi-award-winning provider of well-balanced academic and enrichment programs. They were impressed by the students’ presentations and the university’s focus on nurturing committed and passionate educators. WYNKIDS expressed their interest in collaborating with FOELPM in future events involving early childhood education activities and educator training.
This successful colloquium format, combining student presentations, faculty feedback, and industry engagement, is set to continue for future batches of FOELPM students. It provides a valuable platform for students to develop their research skills, receive constructive feedback from faculty and industry experts, and explore potential career opportunities in the field of education.
