First-Ever SEGi-IAOMP Symposium 1.0: A resounding success

SEGi University’s Faculty of Dentistry held its first-ever international event, the SEGi-IAOMP Symposium 1.0, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists (IAOMP), the world’s biggest oral pathology association, in Auditorium A.

The symposium had guest speakers from both Malaysia and India. The theme was “Odontogenic cysts and tumors” with the goal of enhancing the knowledge and skill in the management of odontogenic cysts and tumors for general dental practitioners and under graduates.

The event provided a platform for scientific oral presentations for undergraduates, postgraduates, and faculty members, and was a grand success, with more than two hundred registered delegates from the oral health division, the Ministry of Health, the Defence Department, and the dental faculty of both public and private universities.

The event was Led by our Dean, Dato’ Professor Dr Ahmad Termizi Bin Zamzuri, as Organising Chairperson, with the assistance of Associate Professor Datuk Dr Rozaidah Binti Talib (Organising Vice-Chairperson), Associate Professor Dr Anand S Tegginamani (Organising Secretary), and the faculty and student organising committee as team members.
