The inaugural FOBAL Gala Night 2023, hosted by the Faculty of Business, Accounting & Law (FOBAL), took place on November 22, 2023, at SEGi University’s Multi-Purpose Hall. This event aimed to strengthen relationships among students and staff, recognizing and appreciating their contributions to the faculty and the university. The theme, “Be Unique, Be Different,” emphasized celebrating the diverse attributes and talents that make the faculty exceptional. Ms. Stella Lau, the Managing Director of SEGi University & Colleges, delivered the opening speech, followed by Dr. Stephen Sesaiah, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Accounting & Law.
The evening featured lively activities, including over 70 lucky draw prizes sponsored by various entities. Dr. Stephen Sesaiah presented awards for the best subjects to students and certificates of appreciation to staff. Attendees enjoyed performances by both students and staff, and awards were given for the best-dressed participants based on the theme.
The crowning of FOBAL Prom King and Prom Queen 2023 added a touch of excitement, with Mr. Mohamed Sajith and Ms. Syarifah Soha Sabeem taking the respective titles. Subsidiary awards included FOBAL Ms. Elegant (Ms. Mwenya Mwiche and Mr. Elegant (Mr. David Dos Anjos Pereira Widiastara), while FOBAL Ms. Personality was awarded to Ms. Nurazlin Faziera Binti Mohd Rafi and Mr. Personality to Mr. Nicholas Tan Kuan Yee.
