On 24 August 2023, SEGi University welcomed Professor Dr. Ishak Aris, a distinguished academician from Universiti Putra Malaysia, as the External Advisor for the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honours programme.
Professor Dr. Ishak’s visit served a dual purpose: to provide invaluable insights and recommendations for SEGi University’s engineering programme and to oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring elevated academic standards and program accreditation.
The visit commenced with a comprehensive briefing, acquainting Professor Dr. Ishak with recent updates to the program’s curriculum and the implementation of outcome-based education (OBE) strategies. A guided tour of the university premises, including the state-of-the-art Engineering Laboratories, provided him with a firsthand view of the institution’s facilities and resources.
A notable highlight was the interactive sessions with current students and alumni of the Bachelor of Ele
ctrical and Electronics Engineering programme. These sessions facilitated knowledge exchange and insights, allowing Professor Dr. Ishak to gain perspectives from those who have experienced the programme as learners and professionals.
The visit culminated in an exit meeting, during which Professor Dr. Ishak shared critical observations and noteworthy findings from his evaluation. His expertise lent weight to his suggestions, emphasising areas of strength and recommending enhancements to align the programme with industry advancements.
