SEGi University’s Multipurpose Hall is abuzzed with excitement as over 445 participants, including 16 dedicated IT lecturers, gathered for the highly anticipated IT Programme Meeting: Back to Campus! This event aimed to empower students’ academic journeys, streamline course registration, and address vital issues within the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology (FoEBEIT).
The day kicked off with Lecturer and Student Registrations at 9:30 a.m., fostering a sense of camaraderie among attendees. The Welcome Remarks by the esteemed Dean of FOEBEIT, Ir. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Yong Chai, set an inspiring tone for the day, emphasising the importance of student success and academic growth.
Under the skilful guidance of Emcee Hazlina, the event featured informative sessions led by experts in the field. Dr. Norbaya provided insightful discussions on addressing significant student issues, while Hafizah shared valuable information on student intake, progression plans, and course registration guidelines. These sessions equipped students with a well-defined roadmap for their academic pursuits, ensuring they make informed decisions aligned with their goals.
The highlight of the event was the engaging Student Engagement and Q&A sessions. From 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, students had the chance to plan their academic schedules with the assistance of dedicated lecturers and knowledgeable advisors. This process ensured a seamless and efficient course enrolment experience, setting students up for success in the coming academic semester.
