Where Ideas Meet Impact: Celebrating Research Excellence at the Business Research Project Colloquium 2026

The Faculty of Business, Accountancy and Law recently brought academic excellence to life at its Business Research Project Colloquium, held on 3 April 2026. Organised by Research Methodology lecturers Dr William Tan Wei Yet and Dr Sudhashini Nair, the event marked a significant milestone for final year students as they presented the culmination of months of intensive research and critical inquiry. More than just a presentation platform, the colloquium reflected the depth, discipline and relevance of student work. Each project demonstrated the ability to navigate real business challenges with clarity and purpose, applying appropriate research methodologies, analysing data with precision, and translating findings into practical, evidence based recommendations. What stood out was not just the academic rigour, but the relevance. From emerging market trends to contemporary business issues, students showed a strong awareness of the realities shaping today’s industries. The diversity of topics and perspectives reinforced the faculty’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically prepared, but also industry aware and solution driven. The event also recognised outstanding achievements across multiple categories, celebrating students who went above and beyond in their research, presentation and overall impact. Awards were presented by Associate Professor Dr Irene Tan, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Accountancy and Law and the Graduate School of Business, whose presence underscored the importance of research as a foundation for future leadership.
