Triple Wins For Architecture SEGians at PAM Annual Architecture Student Works Exhibition (PAASWE) 2023

Architecture students from SEGi University’s Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and IT (FoEBEIT) have achieved an outstanding feat recently, securing triple victories at the much-anticipated PAM Annual Architecture Student Works Exhibition 2023 (PAASWE). This acclaimed event, hosted by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), promises to mesmerise audiences from 4 to 8 October 2023, taking place at the GF Centre Court of the 1Utama Shopping Centre in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Themed “Dancing Tower”, this year’s exhibition promises to showcase an exceptional display of architectural creativity and innovation. Under this theme, SEGi’s architecture students have taken centre stage, employing an inventive presentation style characterised by captivating, cascading layering and dynamic forms that reflect their distinct visions. Their outstanding performance has garnered them three prestigious awards:

  1. Booth Exhibition Bronze: Our SEGians’ booth exhibition has been awarded the coveted bronze prize, reflecting the department’s commitment to presenting their work in a captivating and visually striking manner.
  2. Best Sketching 1st Prize by Mr. Nazirulhaq: Mr. Nazirulhaq, FoEBEIT’s architecture lecturer, has claimed the top prize for “Best Sketching”. This accolade recognises his exceptional skills in capturing the essence of architectural design through his sketches, a testament to his artistic prowess.
  3. Best Academic Performance by Our Student Benjamin So Jin Si: Benjamin So Jin Si has excelled in his academic pursuits and has been recognised with the “Best Academic Performance” award. This achievement underscores his commitment to excellence in the field of architecture and his academic dedication.

These accolades not only reflect the outstanding quality of education provided by SEGi’s architecture department but also highlight the department’s commitment to nurturing and showcasing the talents of its students. The department’s success in this event is a testament to their dedication to excellence and contributions to the world of architecture.
